Over the past two weeks, the Butterfly House at Castle Gardens has been hosting a photo shoot for the Chiappa sisters’ new cookbook, which is out next spring. The sisters have a reputation for combining Italian flavour, British style and family life when creating their recipes, and have filled the Butterfly House with a huge array of props, from enamel pots and vintage crockery to colourful linens and reclaimed chairs – we’ll certainly miss the gorgeous cooking aromas wafting into the garden centre!

Brimsmore roof

Our new roof will be ready by the end of September, but you’ll have to wait until the Christmas display opening on Thursday 8 October to see it in all its glory!

… To The Gardens Group anyway, as it’s that time of year again when our much anticipated and award-winning Christmas displays are due to be revealed. Christmas display open evenings:

Poundbury Gardens, Dorchester – Thursday 1 October 2015 from 7:30pm

Brimsmore Gardens, Yeovil – Thursday 8 October 2015 from 7:30pm

Any guesses what this year’s theme will be?

See you there!
