Chtistmas trees at Castle

If you buy your real Christmas tree from us this year, then we’ll come and collect it for free in January. These trees will be shredded for compost and mulch and will eventually be used for future soil improvement and wildlife projects around the local area.

Free Christmas tree collection vouchers can be picked up in each garden centre from the end of November onwards with collections taking place throughout January.

GCA

The final results of this year’s Garden Centre Association’s Christmas Competition have been announced and I’m so pleased to report both Castle Gardens and Brimsmore Gardens have bagged top national awards in the Garden Centre category. Castle Gardens received the top award for the eighth time and Brimsmore Gardens came third.

This year also marked this first time The Apple Tree Farm Shop was judged, and I’m thrilled to say it received high praise from the judges for its “enticing, comprehensive and easy to shop range of local products” as well as our Christmas hampers.

Pulling all this together is real team effort with everyone mucking in to bring these magical displays to life, creating a truly wonderful experience for visitors each year, so well done team!

If you haven’t managed to visit our displays yet, fear not, as there is still plenty of time to visit!

Richs cheque presenation

Last week Richard Holder, who cycled 45-miles in aid of the MS Society back in September, presented the MS Society with a cheque for a staggering £7,543, which he raised with fellow cyclist, Bill Beaumont.

It was such a pleasure to see so much money raised for such a good cause, and we hope there will be many more fundraising adventures to come.
