With so many wonderful causes in the local area, Poundbury Gardens is searching for a local charity or not-for-profit organisation to donate 10% of its takings to during its 10th anniversary celebrations, which take place between Tuesday 1 and Thursday 10 March.

We are calling on customers, charities and organisations alike to nominate the charity or not-for-profit organisation that they believe deserves to receive 10% of the garden centre and restaurant takings on Friday 4 March 2016.

It’s not going to be an easy job picking just one to receive the donation but we’ll be sure to give all of the organisations that are entered a mention on our blog and social media. So if you know of a really worthy cause that deserves a boost, send your nominations to Lucy Simpson at lucy@thegardensgroup.co.uk and the chosen charity will be announced on Friday 4 March 2016.

The awards just keep rolling in for The Apple Tree Farm Shop, with the latest accolade coming from local producer, Purely Pickled Eggs, in its We Love Pickled Egg Awards. Our customers can’t get enough of their tantalising flavours, from horseradish to sun dried tomato and thyme, and our head chef Zoey even uses the Posh Bites pickled quails’ eggs in The Apple Tree Restaurant. Pickling director, Sue Tyley, said it was our displays, promotional material and stock replenishing, which scooped us the top spot in the Farm Shops and Food Halls category.

If you’re yet to discover the perfect pickled egg, then we can highly recommend giving these a go!
