Fuchsias in Frome

Earlier in the year we were asked to donate some fuchsia plant plugs, compost and growing instructions to the members of Frome Selwood Horticultural Society. For the last few months, they have all been attentively cultivating their shrubs ready to be judged. A few weeks ago I returned to judge the winner and present them with a certificate and voucher to spend at The Gardens Group.

The Big Picture

Throughout September visitors to Poundbury Gardens will be able to enjoy a large version of Renoir’s Vase of Roses which was painted by members of the local community over the August Bank Holiday weekend. We welcomed 18 artists of all abilities to come and paint a section of the famous painting. We then pieced the individual canvases together to form the whole picture which was unveiled at 11am on Bank Holiday Monday.
